TROPOFLAM ® FRLS/FS Cables

TROPOFLAM ® Flame Retardant Low Smoke (FRLS) cables are offered with Copper/ Aluminium conductors; PVC/XLPE insulation and sheathed with special compound to conform to International test standards for smoke density, acid gas generation, oxygen and temperature index requirements. TROPOFLAM ® cables are ideal for use in high rise buildings, data porcessing centre, hospitals, theatres, hotels, schools, warehouse, industrial complexes, power stations, underground railways, oil platform and areas where safety of personnel or protection of equipment is necessary.

These cables are available in voltage upto 33kV and conform to tests:

1. Physical Testing

2. Smoke Density Measurement Test as per ASTM D-2843

3. Oxygen Index Test as per ASTM D-2863

4. HCL Liberation as per IEC-754

Apart from these tests on the materials used on cables, following tests on finished cables are carried out:

1. Test on electrical cables under the condition as per IEC 332-1

2. Flammability testing Swedish Chimney test for Class F3 as per     Swedish Standards SS 424 1475

3. Flame Test as per IEEE Standards 383, 1974.

Fire Survival (FS) cables with copper conductor, elastomer insulation, sheathed with special Halogen free compound are available on enquiry. They conform to the 3 Hour Flame Test as per IEC 331.
