General Description:

Cable Type 2XCEWWGb Y 6.35/11 kV (E) Grade:

Compact circular stranded (rm/V) annealed untinned Copper conductor, provided with conductor screening of extruded semi conducting compound followed by lapped semi-conducting compound followed by lapped semi-conducting tape and Copper tape, cores laid up together with interstices suitably filled with nonhygroscopic fillers, provided with common covering of PVC tape wrapping, provided with double round wire armouring consisting of galvanised round steel wires plus tinned round Copper wires wherever necessary (with a separator tape in between the two layers of armouring), provided with steel tape counter helix (Gb) over the armouring and PVC outer sheathed cables.

The cables shall be as per IS : 7098 (Part II)-1985.

Armour Resistance:

The resistance of armour shall not exceed that of the conductor as specified in IS:8130 - 1984 by more than 33 percent. To satisfy this, substitution of galvanised round steel wires in the armouring by required number of tinned round Copper wires is permissible.
